Re: Why only up to 8 cars shown on Uber's passenger App?

A friend of a friend of a friend who happens to work for Uber said to me it's simply to save your phone's data usage.
Imagine if you actually saw the thousands of Ubers on the map, it's likely to cause unnecessary drainage of your battery and monthly phone data! :D

Re: How does the Uber surge really work?

The app shows an estimated fare once you have entered your des...

Taxify stopped showing destination on waybill!

Hi members, as of midnight last night, Taxify stopped showing drivers the destination on the waybill! There were no messages to drivers via the app, no notifications or warnings at all. It was the only good thing about driving for Taxify. We could actually see where we were going before picking up t...

Re: Dealing with short trips in the Melbourne CBD

Hi mate, I usually just drop off the PAX and get straight out of the CBD. Lots of time can get wasted on these short fares. Alternatively you could use one of your destination filters to filter back to where you would rather be driving. Chances are that you may end up straight back in the city. It's...

Bingle VS RACV Rideshare insurance

Hi guys, I shopped around for rideshare insurance before becoming an Uber Driver-Partner. A lot of Insurance companies wouldn't even insure a vehicle used for rideshare purposes. RACV wanted over $200 a month for my car which is worth about $15,000 with the condition as a part time driver. Bingle on...

Uber's ratings system.

Being a relatively new driver for Uber, I had quite a high rating for a while there at 4.96 after around 100 trips. I checked the Uber app recently and it dipped down to 4.91. I know it's still quite good, but I'd like to know what more I could have done to avoid the dreaded 1,2,3 or four star ratin...
